Beaver Bridge Fog Lifting

Lakes & Rivers

Beaver Bridge, not on Beaver Lake but in the town of Beaver, is near Eureka Springs. The bridge is one of the most painted and photographed landmarks in the entire area. This painting was done entirely en plein air on location. TheĀ  town of Beaver has a tradition of decorating the bridge for the Independence Day holiday. Last year I saw the mayor doing the honors of installing the banner across the bridge–no small feat on a one-way suspension bridge in between traffic.

Ron and I watched Orlando Bloom walk across this bridge during the many retakes for his movie, Elizabethtown. We stood in line for hours to get his autograph. Yes, it was worth it!
